We just made some salt dough ornaments this morning. Even my two-year-old had no problem making them. It was awesome! I have a question: I just dried ours in the oven, but it was hard to tell if they were fully dry or not and I didn’t want to make them brittle. If it ends up that they are not done (they’re still really hot!), can I put them back in the oven? Or can I just leave them out and let them air-dry the rest of the way? Is there a trick to being able to tell if they’re done? Thanks!
Hi Amy, this reply is probably a little late for you, sorry! I did leave our cooked ornaments out to also air dry for a couple of days before we painted them. Although, you probably don’t need a couple of days…..I just didn’t get around to painting them with the kids. One thing I did notice about this recipe is that if you soak the salt dough ornaments with too much paint (like my two year old did) they will become a little soft but will harden again when dry. Thanks!
Just even having family time outside in the garden. Keep the flies & mosquitos away. Great for BBQ’s during this party season.
It would be useful to keep the bugs away as my fiance and 2 kids end up getting quite bitten if we didn’t use something like this. We like to BBQ in Summer or just sit outside and relax while the kids play in the yard.
I would like to be able to have barbecue with family and friends without worrying about the bugs and Mosquitos.
